Forgiveness

Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive men who sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Dear Lord, help me forgive those who have wronged me.  Help me
to let go when my heart is wounded.  Open my eyes to things that can heal me, things that can comfort me and make me stronger.  Hold my hand dear Lord, and let me cry on your shoulder.  Let me see how foolish I have been for clinging to my anger.  Show me a glimpse of your greatness.

                                      In Jesus name.  Amen.

God gives us strength.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock
in whom I take refuge.  He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my
stronghold.

When problems try to drag me down, and the angry waves of life go 
over my head, I turn to you O Lord.  You O Lord, are my rock, my
place of refuge and hope.  Never leave alone in battle, give me strength
to overcome my problems.  Protect me from my weaknesses and free me
from my fears.

Compassion

Psalm 145:8-9
The Lord is gracious and compassionate slow to anger
and rich in love.  The Lord is good to all, he has compassion
on all he has made.

Lord, when I learn that someone is hurting, help me know
what to do and say; speak to my heart and give me compassion.
Let your great love flow through me today.

Understanding

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean
not on your own understanding.

Lord, today I pray for understanding.  Help me 
dear Lord, to see the purpose in my problems,
even when nothing seems to make any sense.

God's Word is Powerful

2Timothy3:16
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is
 true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.  It corrects
us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.


Prayer:
May Your truth O Lord, be revealed by your light.  May you and you alone be magnified and blessed, and that You alone recive all
Glory, honour and praise.  I pray Lord, that Your Holy Word be
listened to, read and obeyed.  May You, O Lord,prepare us and equip us through Your Word, to do that which you want us to do.

into His marvelous light.

Prayer:
O Lord, I pray that your light will shine on those who are in the throws of darkness
and despair.  Touch them, O Lord, with your shining light helping them beyond
despair and darkness into that wonderful light giving strength and comfort.

A Prayer for Contentment

Don't love money;be satisfied with what you have.  For God has said
'I will never fail you.  I will never abandon you.' (Hebrews 13:5)


Prayer:  Heavenly Father,  I pray for contentment.  Help me
Lord, to stay positive even when it feels like my world is
falling apart.  Help me dear Lord, to see blessings, even in
my burdens.
